PE4life
PE4life is a non-profit, advocacy organization
dedicated to inspiring active, healthy living
by advancing the development of quality, daily
physical education programs for all children.
Such programs provide a simple and inexpensive
solution to reduce children's exposure to chronic
diseases, while fostering lifelong fitness habits.
"Most of the nation is looking to eliminate
vending machines as our nation's solution to the
childhood obesity crisis. Changing vending machines
is a good idea, but not the long term solution
to childhood obesity. Our nation needs to start
focusing on the "inactivity crisis"
we have in this country. If we really want to
change the lives of children, we need to evaluate
how we can get their attention. Children today
spend up to 5 hours a day on screen time. We need
to capture that interest and use it to motivate
children to move. In 34 years of teaching physical
education, I have never seen students as motivated
to exercise until we started using the interactive
fitness equipment.
