Sportwall and PE4Life Announce Effort
to Expand Quality PE in America's Schools
PE4Life Institutes to House Sportwall's State-of-the-Art
Fitness Systems
Washington, D.C., May 4, 2005 - Sportwall has recently
joined forces with PE4life in a national effort to expand
the number of quality PE programs in America's schools.
As part of the new partnership, Sportwall will provide
its state-of-the-art fitness systems to PE4life Institutes,
which are exemplary physical education programs that
train communities and school districts in the PE4life
health-based approach to physical education. PE4life
advocates the adoption of new technologies that enable
an individualized approach to student fitness programs,
as well as assessment of progress toward fitness goals.
"We recognize the value of Sportwall's innovative
technologies in delivering customized, interactive and
fun fitness activities for all schoolchildren,"
said PE4life President and CEO, Anne Flannery. "We
look forward to a long relationship with Sportwall."
"We're excited to team with PE4life, the nation's
leading advocate for quality, daily physical education.
We look forward to being part of the PE4life team in
this important cause," said Cathi Lamberti, CEO
of Sportwall International. "Technology has produced
a lifestyle swing resulting in inactivity. The consequences
are being evidenced by significant increases in obesity,
diabetes and sensory integration dysfunction diseases
such as ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia. Kids are just not
'wiring-up' efficiently due to the significant reduction
in early neurological stimulation received from the
loss of traditional play. Our products provide 'catch-up'
stimulation, packaged in the form of interactive computer
games and entertainment."
PE4life expressed enthusiasm about partnering with
a physical fitness company that shares PE4life's philosophy
and mission of getting all students active - now and
for their lifetimes.
"Sportwall shares our conviction that children's
long term health and fitness can best be developed and
ensured in a physical education setting that focuses
on the lifetime health and wellness benefits of regular
physical activity," said Flannery.
